It earns a commission, paid by the lender, for providing advertising services. We cannot guarantee that a lender will accept your application or that they will offer you loan terms that will suit your needs. Not all lenders can provide loans of up to R350 000. The time it takes to process and transfer a loan depends on the lender. This website does not directly endorse any particular product or service. Maximum/Minimum Repayment Periods and Maximum Interest Rate

The APR is the cost of borrowing a loan, expressed as a nominal annual interest rate. As CashPort.co.za is a credit broker and not a lender, we cannot guarantee a particular annual percentage rate. Annual percentage rates typically range from 12% to 36%. Repayment periods for loan products usually range from 6 months to 72 months. Before accepting a lender’s offer through our system, please make sure to read through the loan agreement carefully, since interest rates and repayment terms may differ from those listed on this website.

Loan of R30 000 to be repaid in 6 months. The total cost will be R1 800, and the total amount to be repaid will be R31 800, with an APR of 12%.

Collection Policy

CashPort.co.za does not collect payments. Your lender will contact you by regular mail, email, or phone to outline a repayment schedule. Please contact your lender to determine their collection process, as the terms may vary.

Consequences of non-payment

CashPort.co.za always recommends repaying on time. If you cannot, each lender has their own policies on fees/interest and how they handle debt collection. Most lenders will contact you by regular mail, email, or phone to change your payment terms. Non-payment may result in penalties and/or increased interest. We recommend that you contact your lender as soon as you know there is an issue; otherwise, your credit history may get affected.

Late Payments

If you are unable to repay within the loan period, you need to contact your lender right away. Lenders may charge a fee for late payments, which averages about 0.03% of the amount owed for personal loans and credit cards. Please remember that you will likely incur additional fees if you pay late or not at all, which could add up. For more information about late payment fees, please contact your lender directly and be sure you have read the terms in your loan agreement.

Extension Policy

CashPort.co.za does not provide loan deferrals. If you believe you may be unable to repay the loan, we suggest not applying and, if necessary, seeking financial advice. However, if you wish to renew or extend your current loan, please contact your lender as soon as you can before your payment date. Although some lenders may extend your loan with the same terms as the original loan, each lender has their own extension policy and may charge additional fees or interest. Sometimes, renewals may be processed automatically. Please consider the decision to extend your loan very carefully and seek independent financial advice if necessary.
